
Rev. Vanessa Jones earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Niagara University in 1984 and has more than 30 years of experience serving families, youth, and communities. She also holds a Master of Divinity from Northeastern Seminary (2020) and Chaplaincy certification from Sisters of Charity Hospital (2019).
Following the May 14, 2022 Tops massacre, she served as a Crisis Counselor with the New York State Office of Mental Health through the SAMHSA Emergency Response Grant and now serves as Community Outreach Liaison for the ReCAST Grant (Resiliency in Communities After Stress and Trauma). Rev. Jones is a subject matter expert and Certified Lead Facilitator in Stress, Resilience, and Psychological First Aid, and a trainer for the Trauma-Informed Network’s Tending the Roots program.
